CDA Midway Airport Runway 4R-22L Rehabilitation, Chicago, IL
Electrical Engineering Design
This project was to upgrade and improve the existing Midway Airport Runway 4R-22L and associated taxiways. Responsibilities included removing and replacing with new, the existing runway lighting, taxiway lighting, threshold lighting, guidance signs, wind cones, weather sensors, and new high speed taxiway lighting.
This also include a new underground duct bank and cables for the new runway and taxiway lighting, removal and replacement of the taxiway, runway, guidance signs, runway markers associated with the rehabilitation work and specifications for the modifications needed to add the new taxiway lighting system modifications in the existing Airfield Lighting Control Vault (ALCV); modifications to the existing Airport Lighting Control and Monitoring System (ALCMS) touch screen panels located in the Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT), Airfield Lighting Control Vault (ALCV) and the AMC Building.
